Danny and Me - a tale of things “just not meant to be”, delivered with all the drama of the kitchen sink exploding before your very own ears. The energy of the North unleashed with more crashing chords, chiming melodies and sing along hooks than 3minutes and 23 seconds of music from anywhere in the world has any right of containing.

In a previous life The Harveys emerged in 1990s Manchester as Harveys Rabbit. Following live performances with The Fall and a radio session for John Peel the band gained recognition with their first single, a rendition of the Robert Forster song “Is This what You Call Change?”. The single became a favourite on the Radio with DJs with taste, including Mark Radcliffe, Steve Lamaq, and John Peel (sneaking in at a very respectable number 42 in Peel’s festive 50 for 1995). Further singles and an album “The New Spiritual Vacuum” were released on cool indie label, Rotator; as the band went on to record further radio sessions and play live with the likes of the Go Betweens, Robert Forster and Grant McLennan, as well as a tour with The Fall before calling it a day in 1998. Until…a number of years later and the band has re-emerged as The Harveys.
